What is "Digital Arrest"?
Scammers call on video or phone pretending to be police, CBI, or Income Tax officers. They say you are under "digital arrest" and cannot cut the call. They threaten to arrest you unless you pay money immediately.

Delhi Police arrested 8 men who cheated an elderly NRI couple of โน14.8 crore (โน14,80,00,000)!
- The scammers posed as law enforcement officials on video calls
- They included an aspiring Chartered Accountant and a temple priest from Varanasi
- The arrests happened between January 15-21 across three states

They call on WhatsApp video pretending to be police/CBI
They say you are in trouble and cannot disconnect the call
They demand immediate money transfer to "clear your name"
They tell you not to inform family members

Real police never arrest anyone over phone or video call
Tell your family
Inform your children or trusted family members right away
